Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers. The Trust has many volunteers, including the Trust board, our Brewery Heritage Centre team and our behind the scenes volunteers supporting our IT systems and the Archive.

This year Volunteers’ Week runs from 2nd – 8th June so we want to say a big thank you to everyone who volunteers to support the Trust and our work!

Front of House volunteers

Sarah volunteers in the Brewery Heritage Centre

Our Front of House volunteers joined the Trust this spring. They are the people you meet when you come into the Brewery Heritage Centre in Station Street in Burton upon Trent. Their role is to welcome visitors and share with them the plans for the development of the national brewery heritage and social history attraction. The team of 4 comprises Sarah, Jane, Julian and Shameena.

Behind the scenes

Volunteers Steve Skeet and Stephen Wilkins in the Archive

Over the last 2 years volunteers have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to move the contents of the Archive into the Brewery Heritage Centre in Station Street. We also have a volunteer working to ensure our IT systems are up to date.

Trustees

Voluntary Chairman Dr Harry White meeting the King in the spring

Our Trustees are all volunteers and it is a very diverse role. Some of our Trustees are very hands on and have a great deal of day to day involvement, Others act in more of an advisory capacity. Their role involves leading the Trust and being responsible for the operations and the finances.
