Two new members have been elected to the board of the National Brewery Heritage Trust at its AGM in Burton upon Trent on 20 November – Robert Humphreys and Dawn Green.

The move follows the retirement of long time board members John Polglass and Martin Thomas.

Robert Humphreys has worked in the brewing, pub and hotel industry for most of his career and is currently advisor to the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group at Westminster and its sister group, the British Pub and Beer Group in the European Parliament. Robert worked for Bass for 20 years.

Dawn Green is chief executive of East Staffordshire Citizens Advice Bureau. She is also a Divisional Council Member for Burton and District Chamber of Commerce championing the voice of the Third Sector and a member of the East Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group Patient Board.

Dawn Green said: “I am very interested in Burton’s beer and brewing history and I look forward to using my business skills to help develop the work of the trust.”
