Steph Nield has joined the Trust as a freelance archivist. She has two decades of experience working in charity and not-for-profit archives, and spent many years working with disability support charity Leonard Cheshire. She is also a Trustee of the British Records Association.
The Archive has now been completely transferred to the Brewery Heritage Centre in Station Street and Steph is working to ensure we have an inventory of the 500,000 items. She is also ensuring it is stored appropriately to preserve it for the future.
She said: “I believe in the power of archives to change people’s lives. The Trust Archive contains a wealth of information about the history of the brewing industry, and it is an exciting challenge to preserve the contents and make them available for researchers in the future.”
