The Trust is seeking a small number of volunteers to be based in the Brewery Heritage Centre at 206-7 Station Street, Burton upon Trent, DE14 1AN
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
Hours: 10 am – 2 pm
Responsibilities
- To be the positive face of the National Brewery Heritage Trust.
- To talk to members of the public about the role the Trust has played in the development and movement of the National Brewery Collection.
- To explain how the archives and artefacts are being cared for and the plans the Trust has to make Burton upon Trent the hub of brewing and pub heritage.
- To answer questions about the move from Guild Street to Station Street to High Street; the new visitor attraction; the Trust’s position, ethos and vision.
- To explain about (and sell) NBHT membership, volunteering opportunities and the exciting future of the collection, and more, in Burton.
- Ensure the front of house is kept clean and tidy and aid colleagues in updating the displays as necessary.
- There may be an opportunity to show future plans on a tablet or laptop and accompany guided tours around the High Street premises.
- To assist the Archivist and Collections Manager with the cataloguing process where necessary. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook and Excel spreadsheets will be required.
